The City of Pompano Beach Cultural Affairs Department (Pompano Beach Arts) Invites The Community To Experience The Joy And Magic Of The Season At Light Up MLK For The Holidays On Saturday, November 22nd, 2025, From 5:00 p.m. To 8:00 p.m. At Annie Adderly Gillis Park, Located At 601 Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, Pompano Beach, Florida 33069. This Free Community Event Promises An Evening Filled With Lights, Music, Food, And Fun As The MLK Corridor Comes Alive For The Holidays. Reserve Your Spot.
“Light Up MLK is one of Pompano Beach’s most cherished traditions, bringing families, friends, and neighbors together to celebrate the spirit of the season,” said Ty Tabing, Director, City of Pompano Beach Cultural Affairs Department. “This event reflects the heart of our city—creativity, community, and connection; and of course, the festivities of the holidays!”
The annual event features an exciting mix of live entertainment, local talent, delicious bites, games, and giveaways, culminating in the ceremonial lighting that officially marks the beginning of the holiday season along the MLK corridor. Attendees can expect:
• Dazzling Lighting Ceremony: Watch as Annie Adderly Gillis Park and the MLK corridor sparkle with festive lights and decorations.
• Santa will be joining us as well! Photo opportunities for the kids and adults alike.
• Live Music & Performances: Enjoy performances by local musicians, choirs, and dance groups that celebrate the cultural vibrancy of Pompano Beach.
• Tasty Food Vendors: Sample culinary favorites from community vendors offering a variety of delicious holiday treats.
• Family Activities & Giveaways: Join in the fun with games, prizes and interactive activities for all ages.

About Pompano Beach Cultural Affairs Department
The mission of the Cultural Affairs Department, operating as Pompano Beach Arts, is to provide cultural programming that includes visual arts, digital media, music, film, theater, dance, and public art for the enjoyment and enrichment of residents and visitors to Pompano Beach, Broward County, and the greater South Florida area.
